Wednesday 19th August 2026
🏄 We’ll be open up a bunch of spaces in upcoming surf camps and events today! Keep an eye on the website, your emails, or socials (whichever you prefer) for updates! We’ll be releasing spaces in both general public retreats as well as some Honu Honi Fam exclusive camps and adventures.
Friday 21st August 2026
💛 The Surf Coast Environment Group are kicking off their first screening evening in their Environmental Film Series this evening in Torquay! Join them for an inspiring evening of film, conversation and community action. Everyone is invited to attend and tickets are free! (Donations are optional but welcome). The theme is systems change – alternatives to consumerism and they’ll be showing the films The New Peasants (2025) and System Update | Rebooting Our Future (2025). As well as the screening, there’ll also be a panel discussion with guest speakers and Q&A, light supper, and time to connect and network with neighbours, local leaders, and grass-roots organisers. Saturday 22nd August 2026
🏄🔐 We have an epic free social surf running today at 9am! Location will be released via email on Friday to everyone who signs up for it! All levels welcome. 🏄🔐 Our social surf is being followed up by an exclusive HH Fam lunch at Pearl Torquay! We’re taking over the whole restaurant for lunch, and will be chowing down on insanely delicious fresh cooked pastas and garlic breads with the very best humans! Perfect for the post-social surf hunger! Join us to eat all the pasta, and catch up with your surfing buddies (or make some new ones). RSVP essential as spots are limited.
