Flight prices include 20kg of checked luggage and 7kg of carry on per person which can be shared amongst the group. Surfing in Noosa
There are multiple surfboard hire shops along the main strip of Noosa, offering everything from foamies to gorgeous fibreglass boards. Becks was lucky enough to live in Noosa for a year, so knows the area well and is happy to help you find the perfect spot to surf.
Generally, the closest beaches to our accommodation are more suited to longboards, and the steeper waves are a bit of a further walk along the track - however dependant on the weather we may get some fast speedy waves on Noosa main beach in the corner too. The waves are super dreamy in Noosa, and there are often sea turtles and other gorgeous marine life hanging around in the national park beaches.
There are plenty of local surf lesson providers if you'd like to do a lesson while we're up there. Becks is happy to provide recommendations if you'd like to do that.
What we'll do while we're up there:
Other than plenty of time to relax, surf, and hang out, there are a couple of activities we know our Honu Honi Fam would love to get involved in.
Swimming with the humpback whales: this tour lasts for 3.5-4 hours and searches for humpback whales passing along the coast on their way to their birthing grounds. We had the most amazing experience with them last year - with two lovely whales coming and playing with us super close in the water. The tour we've chosen has a certified marine biologist on board to help teach us about the whales, and also to ensure that it is safe for them to enter the water with them based on their behaviour. If they deem their behaviour social and friendly, we'll be taken into the water to swim with them, but there is no guarantee of this on the day. Limited to 15 people per trip.
Eumundi Market Trip: Saturday morning means the incredible Eumundi market is running in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. It's one of the coolest markets in Aus, with incredible food, live music, and amazing local wares. We'll need to hire cars or other transport to get us out there, and will arrange this once we're there with whoever wants to come on the morning.
Noosa Hills Golf Course: There is a casual golf course perfect for any of our crew wanting to pop out for a quick round while we're in town. The green fees are cheap ($40 for 18 holes) as are their clubs ($25), trolley, and buggy hire. They also have no dress code, with flip flops and non-collared shirts welcome. We'll organise a golf round for anyone who wants to play once we're up there.
Bli Bli Water Park: A giant inflatable water park where you can climb ropes, jump off giant blow up towers and generally run around like a maniac. It is so much fun and Becks is very much hoping we'll get time to squeeze this one in too, but it is a maybe.
Please note: These community events are reserved for returning Honu Honi guests and their invited friends and family (included on the same booking). If you haven't joined us on a Honu Honi Signature Retreat or our 6-Week Program, we'd love to welcome you there first. Any bookings made before attending one of these experiences will be cancelled and refunded.
