Here’s a round up of all the bits and pieces we have our eye on around the Surf Coast this week:
Monday 27th July 2026
🏄🔐 Our 1A Winter Waves program legends are hitting the water today for their final session! Today, our beginner group are trialling fibreglass boards for the first time!
Wednesday 29th July 2026
🌊 The swell is firing today! While it might be a bit too dangerous for most of us to get in the water, it’d be worth heading to Bells to watch if you can. At this stage, we’re expecting waves around 14-16ft pushing through! 🤯🌊🔥
Friday 31st July 2026
💛 Surfcoast Wholefoods in Torquay is running a Bake Sale Fundraiser and Community Raffle in memory of Liz, an important member of their community. We’ve donated a voucher for a private surf lesson (valued at $300), so head down to enter and help raise funds for Liz’s family. Raffle is drawn at 12pm on Friday and tickets can be purchased both in-store and online.
💛 The Torquay Hotel are hosting a free premier movie screening of the surf film Defect by Former. Kicking off from 6pm, there will be raffles and merch giveaways, pro surfers in attendance (Craig Anderson, Shaun Manners, Benny Howard), and live music including local legends, 3 Humps. This event is all ages until 8.30pm, so long as underage crew are with a guardian.
Saturday 1st August 2026
🏄🔐 We have Level 1A, 1B, and 2A Winter Waves crew jumping in the water for Week 6 of their program across today. These sessions are bookable by returning students only.
💛 The Surf Coast Arts Trail is on from 10am-4pm today and tomorrow. This is one of our favourite events on the Surf Coast every year, and it’s amazing to check out the incredible talent that resides in the area. Our top two recommendations are to check out Solly Surfboards in Anglesea (Stop 13) to see both some beautiful boards and some very cool experimental designs, as well as Ashmore Arts in Torquay (Stop 52) - and plan to spend at least an hour at this one.

🏄 It’s our 7th Birthday! Join us for a free social surf followed by a beach picnic with our lovely community! We’ll have cake and some little prizes to win (because what’s a birthday without birthday gifts)!
