What’s On This Week! 3rd Aug 2026.

Here’s a round up of all the bits and pieces we have our eye on around the Surf Coast this week:

Monday 3rd August 2026

🏄🔐 We have a make up session available today at 10am for all our Winter Waves legends, or for any returning guest who’d like to do a one-off session. You can view and book into available spots here. If you are booking an additional session (i.e. you have not paid for the session you are booking), the cost is $80.

💛 We were stoked to learn today that we’ve been named as a finalist in the 2026 Torquay Business Awards in the Tourism and Hospitality category! Woohoo! Looking forward to the awards night in September! A big thank you to our incredible community and staff who support what we do!

Wednesday 5th August 2026

💛 Our annual regional tourism conference ‘Tourism Together’ is being held today in Geelong, run by the regional tourism boards for the Great Ocean Road, Bellarine Peninsula, and Greater Geelong. Our team will be heading along to soak up all the info and get inspired to reach higher standards in our tourism experiences.

Saturday 8th August 2026

🏄🔐We have a make up session available today at 9am, 11:30am, and 2pm for all our Winter Waves legends, or for any returning guest who’d like to do a one-off session. You can view and book into available spots here. If you are booking an additional session (i.e. you have not paid for the session you are booking), the cost is $80.

🏄🔐Tonight is our Winter Waves End of Program Dinner! All our graduating Winter Waves crew and their families are invited to join us at Flowstate Brewers and Distillers in Torquay to celebrate all their waves, wipeouts, and fun times together!

💛 The Laugh Lines Project will be hosting a pop up in Torquay today from 8am-1pm! Laugh Lines is a global portrait movement by Australian photographer Cait Miers, attempting to photograph 1000 women around the world with one common thread - they're without make-up. Using make-up as a metaphor for the layers of conditioning women have endured over the years, the portrait series is about challenging traditional beauty, sitting with ourselves, observing our thoughts and hopefully, celebrating ourselves, just the way we are. They’ll be at Ocean Grind today if you’d love to get your photo taken and support the project. Details for the Torquay pop up are here.

💛 In the mood for a surf film night? ‘Beyond Borders - Patagonia: The Journey To Discover Waves In Patagonia’ has a special screening tonight at the Lorne Theatre at 7pm, followed by a Q&A. A journey rooted in Chilean culture, perfect waves, snow-capped peaks and barren deserts. The feature film follows surfer and filmmaker Jed Fasso alongside a close-knit crew of cinematographers, surfers and snowboarders as they push deep into Patagonia. All chasing a shared dream: to discover a new wave and a mountain hidden in the Andes. The event will also have fundraising for local surf non-profits, with cool prizes to be won!
