Monday 10th August 2026
💛 The World Surf League is in Teahupoo, Tahiti for their comp this week! It’s a crazy wave and super inspiring to watch the world’s best go head to head there. Worth a watch if you get a chance! When the event is running, you can watch it live on their website or Facebook page. :)
Wednesday 12th August 2026
💛 We’re in for an epic meteor shower over our area tonight and into the early morning hours of Thursday. We have a new moon meaning it should be super visible too! It’s due to start around 11pm with the highest frequency of meteors visible pre-dawn on Thursday. Adventure down the Great Ocean Road and stake out any of the amazing look outs for an absolutely incredible view tonight! Our top spots for overnight camping and viewing would be the Kennett River Caravan Park and the Lake Elizabeth camp ground (both perfect spots for glow worm viewing too), or if you’re heading out for just a few hours either Urquharts Bluff or the end lookout at Point Addis. 😍
Friday 14th August 2026
💛 Blakey Johnston - mental health advocate/author/ professional surf coach/ Cronulla Surf Academy head honcho/ 3 x World record holder (longest surf session - 40 hours and 707 waves caught, most waves surfed in a month (4,097 🤯), and leading the worlds biggest paddle out) - is coming to UrbnSurf Melbourne for a marathon event today. He’ll be surfing for 12 hours, and you’re encouraged to join him in a session or two for the chance to win some epic prizes.
