The Casual Surf Instructor role is primarily based in Torquay, Victoria and will require you to travel to various beaches along the Surf Coast.

 

A driver’s licence and your own car are necessary.

 

Candidates will need to hold a Surfing Australia coaching qualification (minimum Level 1 Foundations Coach), bronze medallion or equivalent surf life saving qualifications, CPR, Senior First Aid, and Surfing Australia Membership. Please note, you must be qualified by Surfing Australia - we unfortunately cannot accept ISA or other qualifications.

We'd love an instructor who's confident being in charge of their classes, prioritises safety and fun for their students, and can build rapport with our wonderful customers. You'll need to be comfortable teaching adults from complete beginners through to more intermediate students. A quick thinker who can think on their feet to adapt session based on the conditions we may be running classes in.

Above award wages and weekend penalty rates apply, starting at $35/ hour apply. This is an ongoing role year round, and we are happy to build it up into a permanent part or full time position for the right person if you're happy to take on other jobs around the surf camp (eg. surf camp host, admin, etc).
